ZSCrete Premier

An anti-static epoxy coating system designed to provide aesthetic enhancement and protection to a surface.
The best situation in which to specify a coating is where the concrete substrate is in good condition with minimal spalling or cracking. Because a coating is dense, seamless and has low porosity, it is easy to clean and maintain. Coatings are available in a variety of colors, allowing you to match your floor’s new look to the rest of the environment.

Ground Zero’s ZeroStat Crete epoxy coatings come in two applications: thin film (5-9 mils) and high-build (10-25mils). The thicker, high-build system fills in smallimperfections in a floor’s surface, so there is some leveling. The coatings are generally recommended for assembly and light manufacturing areas, aircraft hangars, food process areas, laboratories, clean rooms, pedestrian walkways, warehouses and similar industrial/commercial areas.

Ground Zero offers water-based and 100% solid epoxies in addition to the traditional solvent-based coatings. Appearances range from smooth, high-gloss finishes to an orange peel finish.

While epoxy coatings offer good to excellent resistance against many chemicals and are easy to clean, urethanes offer better stain resistance. Applications involving exposure to harsh chemicals may require corrosion control systems.

ZSCrete Premier Coating Types

GENERAL-PURPOSE EPOXY COATINGS

EP 1000 Epoxy Coating

ZeroStat Crete EP 1000 offers excellent protection for concrete and metal surfaces, keeping them smooth and bright with good chemical resistance. Featuring excellentabrasion and impact resistance, it can be used as a primer on concrete, a topcoat over Chemi-Top Resurfacer and a topcoat over other ZeroStat Crete epoxy coatings.

EP 2000 Epoxy Coating

EP 2000 is a thin-film, high-gloss coating with an orange peel texture. When used as a single topcoat with Chemi-Top 300, it is a very cost-effective flooring solution. It can also be used in conjunction with other coatings for thin-film applications. EP 2000’s adhesion, physical and chemical resistance properties make it an excellent choice for both floor and wall applications.

EP 3000 Epoxy Coating

ZeroStat Crete 3000 offers good protection for concrete and metal surfaces at an economical price. It has excellent adhesion and physical properties, good chemical resistance, and is ideal for coating applications, as a topcoat for resurfacing, and as a primer. This high-gloss coating is used primarily for general-purpose applications.

EPHB High-Build Epoxy

This is an excellent high-build reflective coating designed for use in areas requiring some leveling and protection, as well as aesthetic benefits. EPHB offers a unique combination of flexibility, impact resistance, high gloss and high bond strength to concrete. It also has good chemical and abrasion resistance. Because EPHB provides a tough, smooth, nonporous surface, it is easy to clean, allowing repeated washings and decontaminations.

SPECIALTY EPOXY COATINGS

EPHB CR High-Build/Chemical Resistant

Like EPHB, this is a high-gloss/high-build coating, but with added chemical resistance. It offers excellent overall resistance to a wide spectrum of chemicals, including aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons; acids, alkalis and alcohols; detergents, salts and cutting oils; gasoline, jet fuels and many solvents.

EN 7000 Epoxy Novalac

This semi-gloss, orange peel texture, reflective top coat provides excellent chemical resistance against strong acids and caustics. EN 7000 offers good abrasion and impact resistance, as well as high bond strength to concrete or steel. Its tough, nonporous surface allows repeated washings and decontaminations. This coating is ideal for applications requiring secondary containment, as well as for the chemical processing industry.

EPHB RY Reduced-Yellowing

EPHB RY is a high-build coating that reduces yellowing caused by ultraviolet rays. It is designed for use with Chemi-Quartz decorative systems or other areas where reduced yellowing is required. The reduced yellowing properties help the coating maintain its clear, high-gloss finish, maximizing the appearance of the quartz.

EPHB QR Quick-Release

A revolutionary floor coating that prevents rubber from sticking to floor surfaces, allowing easy removal of rubber build-ups. The high-solids, low-odor, epoxy, high-build coating can be applied to concrete floor surfaces or used as a re-coat, making it easier to clean floors that are exposed to rubber, wax, oil and dust build-ups. EPHB QR has an attractive appearance and good chemical and abrasion resistance.

Chemi-Flex TM 1000 Flexible Epoxy Membrane

This specially formulated, flexible epoxy coating system is ideal for applications requiring protection against thermal shock and areas that use wet processes. Chemi-Flex 1000 is the result of extensive R & D by Ground Zero and significantly more cost-effective than comparable competitive products. Because of a new technology used during its manufacture, our membrane system will maintain its flexibility as it ages. The product is made without the use of plasticizers which can migrate out of the system over time.

APPLICATION AND MAINTENANCE
Overview: New concrete floors should be allowed to cure for thirty days. Applications to floors colder than 60° F is not recommended. Sweep and mop contaminated floors with Brut, Grease Strip of Citru-Gest to remove oil, grease and soil. With contaminated or exceedingly smooth troweled floors follow by etching with Ground Zero Prepare, then thoroughly rinse with water. If floor has been previously coated, a small area should be cleaned and roughed up by a screen disking with a 80 grit screen. Test ZeroStat Crete for adhesion, lifting etc. Any area’s of the existing coating which display poor adhesion should be stripped. Wash the stripped area’s, acid etch, and rinse thoroughly. Allow the floor to dry. Catalyzed ZeroStat Crete should be used within six hours of mixing, therefore prepare only the quantity necessary for immediate use. Add the pre-measured catalyst to epoxy base. Stir gently until the catalyst has been thoroughly mixed in. Allow catalyzed mixture to stand 5 minutes. Apply catalyzed ZeroStat Crete with a short nap roller in thin uniform coats. The initial coat will cover approximately 250 to 500 ft2 per gallon. Second coat coverage is approximately 400 to 600 ft 2 per gallon . Note: This product is not recommended for applications that experience reoccurring standing water.

ZeroStat Crete is a thin set epoxy (approximately 3 to 7 mil thickness), much tougher and longer lasting that ESD paints. Due to it’s reduced solids count and thin set benefits ZeroStat Crete may exhibit slight variances in texture and color. These variances do not affect the excellent electrical performance or wear characteristics. ZeroStat Crete is only available in Gray and features a non glare finish. For extended color options and fill applications (up to 125 mil thickness) please give us a call.
